Remark
The design of the complex, including the hotel building, was entrusted to the architect Josip Pičman, whose design was selected among 59 offered ones. The original design was created in a way that the building would stand out from the contemporaneous European architecture. However, this demanding construction project was not realized as planned. It took builders more years to finally complete it in year 1947. Today it is protected as a cultural monument. |
