Arad is situated in the most western point of Romania. The town represents an important traffic, commercial and industrial hub.

Among the most important tourist attractions we mention: The Evangelical Church (built in 1906 in a neo-gothic style, is now known as the Red Church due to its red brick finishing); “IoanSlavici” classic Theatre (Franz Jozef, the Emperor of Austro-Hungary, was present at its opening).

The Neptun public Pool is also worth mentioning. It is situated on a surface of almost 40 hectares of greenery, this is the second biggest public pool in Europe situated by the side of a river. The construction works started at the end of the ‘60s. The alleys are paved and the green area around it includes more than 30 species of plants; the complex consists of 5 pools (a total of 8700 m2 : one pool is dedicated to adults, three pools with thermal water for children) and a water roller coaster, play ground sand over 300 camping houses. Around the pools there are more than 100 bars, terraces, restaurants, discos, pizzeria and internet cafes. Furthermore, there are two solars for nudists, two tennis courts, two volleyball courts, lane and trampoline for roller-skates, mini football court with nocturne installation and 1500 cabins which can be rented for the season. The parking lot has 200 parking places. During the night the pool complex becomes the attraction of the town thanks to the restaurants, bars, terraces and clubs opened non stop. During summer, the complex can host concerts and festivals.

The public pool complex has become one of the most spectacular leisure centres in Europe. Annually, the complex has 3.000.000 visitors.

Location

Being ranked at 4 stars, the hotel is the highest building in town and the closest to the most important cultural, administrative and financial institutions. Located in the centre of Arad, The Continental Forum Hotel was and remains the most important place for business and social reunions. The International Airport in Arad is only 4 kilometres away and the border with Hungary is also very close.

Accommodation

At Continental Forum Arad we do our best to make you feel at home in each of the 160 rooms available.

The 69 double rooms, 81 singles and 10 apartments are set up on 10 floors. All of them are furnished with style and have an AC system, minibar, telephone, cable TV and internet. The bathrooms are also fully equipped. The rooms are divided in to smoking and non-smoking. The hotel has also two special rooms for people with walking handicap.

60 rooms have view towards the river Mures and 100 towards the historical centre.

The standard rooms are equipped as follows: double matrimonial bed (160x200cm) or two twin beds (90x200cm), manual adjustment system of the temperature, TV, telephone, minibar, safe-deposit box , internet access, desk, bathroom with bathtub, bathrobe, hair dryer and balcony. Besides the standard rooms, we also offer 18 executive rooms, equipped with sofa, cosmetics, mirror, weighing scale, press for trousers and free internet access. All these rooms have a beautiful view towards the boulevard and an area of approximately 30 sqm.

On each floor there is a spacious apartment with living room and bedroom, furnished and equipped like the executive rooms, with double opening to the boulevard and the river Mures through two existing balconies. Depending on your needs you may choose either to an apartment with a sofa or with a desk.

These are available from Monday to Friday between 16:00 and 22:00 and on the weekends only if you book ahead.

As the only bowling club in Arad, the hotel’s club has become the perfect place for friend’s reunions. The club has two Vollmer lanes, darts and a bar. Located at semi-basement, the club is open from Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 02.00.
